what inspires me this week.

i've always been in love with day of the dead the 3 day holiday of mexican tradition. the masks, the colors, the idea, its all beautiful. i want to do more with it but i'm not sure how as to incorporate it into my composition. i guess i'll need to take time and figure that out. the day of the dead celebration takes place over 3 days, the first day is the celebration and welcoming of children spirits allured by candy and sweets. The second day in the day of celebration and welcoming of adult spirits, and the 3rd day is the day to celebrate life.  there masks and the skulls that they paint are full of bright colors and i love how they pair it with tiny details of black amongst a sea of flowing beautifulness.  heres some photos so that maybe i ight turn you on to a new idea.
